What’s Included in an eLoghomes Log Home Package?

Our log home packages include the structural materials required to erect the shell of your home. We do not build your entire house. Instead, our role is similar to that of a framing contractor, except we provide and install the structural log shell rather than conventional stick framing.

Our packages include all major structural components of your home, including exterior and interior framing, windows, doors, porches, decks, and garages (if applicable). You’ll work with your builder or general contractor to choose interior finishes, mechanical systems, etc.

Review the detailed package comparison charts and materials lists on this page to see what’s included in our log cabin packages. We’ve made every effort to outline what is included and excluded; however, these lists are not exhaustive. Get in touch with us with any questions.

Choosing a Model and Floor Plan

eLoghomes offers more than 200 log home models ranging from 400 to 4,000+ square feet. Choose from one-bedroom log cabin packages, two-bedroom log cabin packages, three-bedroom log cabin packages, and more.

In our portfolio, you’ll find everything from compact vacation cabins to expansive two-story homes designed for entertaining. To choose the best floor plan for your needs, start by thinking about how you’ll use the home, now and in the future. Here are some of the different floor plan styles you’ll see in our portfolio:

 – Ranch-Style Homes: All rooms are on the same floor. Rooms often flow seamlessly together. This layout works well for aging in place or families who prefer stair-free living.

 – Split Floor Plans: Bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home or on separate floors. This design increases privacy between the primary suite and guest rooms.

 – 1.5-Story Designs: These homes feature a main level plus loft or additional bedrooms upstairs; some designs also have a game room, or library/office upstairs. 1.5-story homes have an open, airy feel thanks to soaring cathedral ceilings.

 – Two-Story Homes: Living spaces occupy two complete levels. This layout works well for larger families or where lot size is limited.

 – Open-Concept Layouts: Kitchen, dining, and living areas flow together without heavy partitioning. This design creates a spacious feel and supports gatherings.

Tips for choosing a floor plan:

 – Consider your lot size and terrain

 – Plan for both current and future needs

 – Evaluate your storage requirements

 – Think about traffic flow between shared and private spaces

 – Review local building requirements with your contractor

Log Home Kit & Package FAQs

  • What are log house packages, and what do they include?

Log home packages can vary significantly by manufacturer but often include the structural materials required to build the exterior shell of your home. This may include the log walls, some flooring and roofing materials, some doors and windows, and other materials, depending on the package you select. Interior finishes and mechanical systems like plumbing, electricity, and HVAC are rarely included in log home kits.

  • Are pre-cut log cabin kits easier to build?

Pre-cut log home kits arrive with logs that have already been cut and prepared according to engineered plans. This helps your builder or general contractor assemble the structural shell more efficiently and can reduce on-site guesswork.

  • Do small log cabin packages cost less than larger homes?

Smaller log cabin homes for sale generally require fewer materials, which can lower the overall structural cost. However, your total project cost will depend on a range of factors, including the amount of site work needed, the finishes and upgrades you choose, and more. A smaller footprint does not always mean a simple build.

  • How is a log cabin building package different from a turnkey home?

A log cabin building package focuses on supplying and constructing the structural log shell rather than completing the entire home. Your general contractor or builder manages the remaining work, including plumbing, electrical, and interior work.

  • Are pre-built log home packages fully assembled before delivery?

Pre-built log cabin packages are not delivered as fully assembled homes. Instead, the materials are prepared and shipped to your job site for on-site construction. Your builder or general contractor then assembles the home according to the plans and specifications.
