What Is Fibrex®?

Developed by Andersen corporation, Fibrex® is produced from a combination of wood fibers and thermoplastic polymer. It’s a strong, durable, and resistant to warping, rotting, and fading and is an attractive compliment to our log cabin kits. It also provides better insulation properties, helping to improve energy efficiency. Additionally, Fibrex® is low-maintenance, requiring minimal upkeep compared to solid wood frames.

What Is Perma-Shield® vinyl cladding?

A long-standing Andersen innovation that “revolutionized the window industry” by combining the beauty of wood interiors with a protected exterior.  Perma-Shield® vinyl cladding is a rigid vinyl cladding system that covers and protects the exterior wood surfaces. Designed to provide low maintenance and long-lasting durability, it is resistant to peeling, blistering, flaking, and corrosion, eliminating the need for frequent repainting.

U-Factor

The U-Factor measures the rate of heat transfer from inside to outside through the window or Patio Door. The lower U-Factor value indicates better insulation properties.
